ACBHE is a private ecclesiastical, faith based, not a US Department of Education, accrediting agency.
US DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION ACCREDITATION
Trinity Theological Seminary (TTS) has elected not to seek regional or US Government accreditation based on the desire to teach the whole Word of God. We will not compromise the Biblical message and therefore do not seek the approval of government recognized accreditation.
Many of our course descriptions closely match those of accredited Bible colleges and seminaries. TTS students will be well positioned to use portfolio equivalency to gain course credit and advanced standing at accredited colleges or seminaries that have a provision to grant portfolio based credit.
Accepting credits earned at another institution is the prerogative of the receiving institution. No college, school or accrediting agency can require another institution to accept in transfer credit earned somewhere else. Even when the sending institution is accredited by the same agency as the receiving school, there is no guarantee credits will transfer.
Students wishing to transfer credits to other schools are responsible for finding out about the acceptance of credit by the receiving institution.
TTS programs are strictly designed for believers who desire to be equipped and trained for effective Christian ministry.
AUTHORIZATION TO GRANT DEGREES
Degree programs of study offered by TTS are exempt from the requirements for licensure under the provisions of the Florida State Board of Independent Colleges and Universities (SBICU). Exemption from licensure is not based upon any assessment of program quality under established licensing standards. Every other Bible College or seminary in the State offering legitimate degrees operates under the same statute. In accordance with the provision of the Florida Department of Education General Statues Section 1005.06(1)(f)
